We did not have a pet for the first five months we lived at River Ridge. Then we decided our dying golden retriever needed to come back with us from our dughter's house as no one was home during the day and we were retired so he spent his last months with us. He was an elder dog and was totally house broken. We kept our daughter's elderly dog for a few months after Buddy died. She, too, was totaly housebroken. After we had been at River Ridge for over a year of our one year, ten month stay, we adopted oour son's 3 year old small dog as he was too much for their 6 year old to handle. He was mostly housebroken. He was killled by an oncoming car at our property's house site after only three months of being with us. We now have a young large breed dog that we obtained for our protection when we moved to the woods. Yes, she had wetting accidents occasionally but we meticuously cleaned up after her. Management kept most (92%) of both our pet and rent deposits to replace five and one half year old carpets that had been occasionally wet on by our pets (only had one pet in the apartment at any given time) but cleaned thoroughly with stain and odor removal cleaners afer each wetting. I felt this was too severe and not at all management friendly. I am very disappointed in the management at River Ridge.

If I had my way there would be NO dogs in apartments especially large dogs. I think what managment did was the proper thing to do. If you are not satisfied here I would suggest you move somewhere else; preferably a house where you can have all the dogs you want.

I think that is a totally ridiculous statement for anyone to say that. A person's ability to have the choice of having a pet or not should not be based on whether they live in/own a house or not. That is so narrow minded.
