I live in one of App South's apartments for 3 years, and I don't have a solitary good thing to say about them. The building was built in the 60's, it was falling apart, and the management did not see fit to make any renovations or improvements over the course of the prior 40 years. The only thing in my apartment that was newish (probably 10 years old) was the carpet. All of the appliances were avocado green, if that gives you a clue. App South would not allow pets, no matter how small. Trying to get maintenance to come was pulling teeth. For instance the 40 year old fridge finally died during my stay. It was the type with an ice box, so when it died, the ice melted, leaving a huge puddle of water on the floor. Despite the fact that the water could have been rotting the floor of their apartment building, it was two days before maintenance came to take care of it. The only time maintenance did show up was when you didn't want them, unexpectedly walking in to check for pets or drugs, or other things. In fact they caught me in the middle of an intimate act once by barging in. Honestly I wish I had been older, I should have sued App South. g-hKOS7s4Nq5n3hEIpHd

Appalachian south apartments suck. Me and my husband has been with them like a year or so and we rent a trailor now and it has a massive hole under the kitchen sink and we cant even shower longer than 5 minutes before the water heater goes out and my husband has already turned it all the way up. our ceiling fan is about to fall out of the ceiling and our windows is bout to fall out of it and we have had a order in since august of 2008 and its already febuary 2009 and they only came once and that was when our refrigerator died. and our stove is also a fire hazard.

God, I wish someone would sue them!! App South, Holton Mountain, and App Management are the slumlords of Boone.... They only get away with it because all the college kids (myself included at the time) are too young and inexperienced in apartment living to know that it is completely illegal to have such living conditions.
