I've been living here for over a year now and I'm definitely going to stay. The landscaping is much better than anywhere else in Carrboro and the construction of the apartments is sturdy. The atmosphere is great. There are some apartments down the road that look newer but 1. I'm sure the rent is higher and 2. There is no landscaping/nature or private feel to it.

I feel very safe here. Chapel Hill police do a good job of stopping by to check things out once in awhile and there is a trooper that either lives here or visits often. I don't know the people in my building but they all seem really nice.

They're doing some renovations right now that will only make this place better. I really would recommend this place over any other places in Carrboro. It has character and I am SO glad I didn't pick any other apartment.

I would say yes - because it's IDENTICAL to a post from about 2 years ago- written shortly after the property was purchased by a new owner. (Management is not supposed to post about their own properties!) No one who has actually lived at Ashbrook since "188 Claremont LLC" purchased the property has posted anything positive. I wonder why? Be aware (or beware...) if you move there. The property is owned by a shell company- really a New York City real estate mogul who donates millions of dollars from his real estate's earnings to extreme right-wing political causes all over the country. ("management" won't tell you that!)

Hi, this is my post. I know it is the exact same. I tried to upload a picture because someone commented that the picture for the apt was of it on fire. I can't upload the pic for some reason but I would appreciate it if someone could. I am not management but am a student, living here since 2005 (I updated the date to 2005-2008). It really is a peaceful place and management is nice from my interactions with them. "Management" has changed since I've lived here but one of the main staff remains. I doubt she's knowingly contributing to the "right-wing political causes all over the country." That's like saying renters should make a "statement" by not going to shell stations for gas and would rather walk. I don't really care what the owner in NY does.
