Excelent, best living in Chapel Hill area

I lived with my wife at Autumn Woods for a year, and I can say that this has been the nicest place we lived in so far. First of all, security: I used to let my bycicle unchained, outside the building, day and night, for a whole year, nobody touched it.
Second: community aspect: extremely well maintained, quiet and peacefull.
Apartment was brand new when we moved in, and from what I know they renovate everything after each resident (paint, change carpet, doors, etc). Appliances worked fine, and we never had any problems with maintenance, but if we would have, I'm sure they would have had it fixed in less than an hour. Front office staff is curteous and always willing to help. Pool stays open year round, so if you feel like bathing early may or late september you can do it. Bus stops in front of the community, so even if you don't have a car it takes you only 10-15 minutes to get to UNC or Franklin street. Grocery stores are within 15 minutes walking distance.
The only thing about autumn woods is that they have high rents: we used to pay 630 for a one bedroom apt, and that's only because they had a special going on; at that price if you look very well, you can rent a 3BD/2Ba in carrboro/chapel hill area. But, you get what you are paying for, and I can say that it was worth it.
