I agree with most of reviews of this complex after living there for several years. While new management has maintained the standards of the old rental company, the rental increases with the under the new company have been signifcant. There increases ranges from $70-150 on some of these apartments. Autumn Woods has always been a little more expensive than some of these others in the areas, and I guess the current housing crisis is forcing more people to rent again, so management is taking advantage and raising rent. But by and large most of the renters in Carrboro/Chapel Hill area are employed by UNC and most persons working on government subsidized fundings etc have not seen pay increases for quite the past three years. But with rising gas prices and Peidmont electric which the Autum woods uses, I think they are pricing themselves outside of the market. Would rent but if staying beyond a year there are better bargains in the area.

I'm interested in renting a 2BD 2BA here for grad school at chapel hill. I'll only need the apartment for 1-2 years. I'm concerned about the price and the utilities, but I like the amenities and the location. Where else would you suggest I stay?
