As a french couple, my girlfriend and I have visited approximately 15 communities in the Chapel Hill/Carrboro area when we arrived from France in January 2008. After three days of intensive visits, we had the choice between Alta Springs and Autumn Woods. Finally we decided to live in Autumn Woods for many reasons, and we have no regrets at all.
In our opinion, the Autumn Woods community is the most pleasant, peaceful and luxurious place of the area. Apartments are big, modern and clean. Amenities like the pool (magical from april to october), the fitness center (with a towel service!!!) , the laundry, are perfect. And maybe the most important, the staff is unique. You don't feel like a customer but rather like a small family. Each time we had any problem (all very minors), they did the maximum to fix them ASAP (i.e., less than 24 hours). For UNC students/staff, JFX,CM/CW and CPX bus routes are in front of your door ... parfait!
So we highly recommend Autumn Woods if you want to live in a beautiful, well maintained and dynamic appartment community.
