In the beginning, I was satisfied with Carolina Apartments. The pool was open- not always clean- and the office staff seemed nice. After a few months, the wrong kind of people began to take over the property. Ten people living in a 2 bedroom apartment usually isn't a good thing. I didn't feel safe there, as the crime rates were rising. Before moving here, go to police department and have them run a report on the property and you can see how many reports have been filed. The bathroom walls had hair painted into them. I guess the painters had better things to do than to clean the pubic hair off of the walls before painting them. Our hot water heater was wired incorrectly and starting smoldering- not good. But, we did get put up in a "hotel" (Red Roof) for the night. Since the property is pretty old, the appliances are dying slowly. But, they will usually just replace them instead of trying to fix the old ones. I got a new refrigerator, diswasher, tile in kitchen, and carpet. If you just want a cheap place to stay, this is the place for you. If you don't mind paying a little extra for safety and overall cleanliness and appearance, keep looking...
