Wow. That is all I can think of to say regarding the Chateau. Dan Vogel not only owns the apartment complex but also runs it, so he's always onsite to deal with situations that may arise and has always been friendly to me and my fiance.

The apartment is very dog friendly, which was great for us, because we have two dogs. There was no weight restriction which was wonderful, because our dogs are very well behaved but one of them is over the usual 50 pound limit.

It was fantastic having Billy, the maintenance man, on site. He is very socialable and gets things done almost immediately after you request his help. He has great stories to tell and definitely is a major part of the Chateau.

The only thing I would change is that I would add two bedroom apartments to the mix. My fiance and I are horribly disappointed that we're having to move this fall, but we have grown out of the one bedroom apartment. If Dan ever adds larger accomidations, we'll most definitely return to the Chateau.

I lived there from 1997-1999 and I concur with the post. I loved living there too, there must be a new Maintenance man there now. When I lived there his name was Willie and he was the same as descirbed above. I always recommend Chateau to students moving to the Chapel Hill area. They are extremely dog friendly and much fun was had at the pool!
