From the very start of moving in we have had problems.To start off with the paper work was not done right, we had to redo then none of the maintence request were done.It took almost a month to get things fixed,then they were not even fixed right.The apt we live in is not efficent at all. Our power bill's have been around 200.00 a month,it took them about 3mo. to find out the air filter was so dirty that no air at all was able to flow through.This last power bill we got was almost 300.00 so the problem is still not fixed we put in a request to check out the problem and its been 3 days and no maintence personal has shown up yet.Its very obvious that residents are not 1st priority at highland hills.Our APT is less than a 1000sq ft. Service is SH**TY office staff as well is SH**TY.

Again people...the electric bill will not be $300 because of a dirty air filter. Do you know who your electric co is? Yes, they are a co-op. You are paying for rural customers to get electricity at affordable prices. Why not be constructive and write to the Town of Carrboro to get Duke energy? Your use of profanity just shows that you cannot effectively and maturely express yourself without resorting to childish and inappropriate language. If you want someone to take your points more seriously, write as if you are intelligent.

agreed... this resident doesn't seem like the brightest crayon in the box. Why's she getting so mad at the complex for her own energy consumption?? Even though, the power prices ARE outrageous. Granted, not 300 dollars outrageous, that seems a bit excessive, but piedmont definately is more expensive than Duke power, that's for sure. My bill in a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom 950 sq ft apt runs about $100.00-$120.00 in the peak of winter and the peak of summer... which all total comes up to be about 4 months out of the year. The rest are usually 75-85 bucks a month.
