The walls are paper thin!!! I can hear every single move my next door and upstairs neighbors make... taking showers, flushing toilets, and kids jumping off of their beds upstairs and I feel as though the ceilings are going to cave in on me, regularly! My next door neighbors bass Reggaeton @ 6:00 AM, as well.
Furthermore, I overheard the maintenance people discussing the insulation beneath the structure one day outside of my open window and they decided they were only going to re-insulate up to a certain point because no one could even see past that certain point, so there was no need to bother. AWESOME because the energy bill is approx. 150/mo. There are raccoons and possums that live in the insulation and rip it up. These units are on "stilts", so there are all kinds of critters that reside under here.
I took the liberty to caulk/seal holes that were throughout my unit so that roaches could not get in because I saw some a few times. I wonder if the roaches are bypassing my apartment now and just going upstairs, which may explain the EXCESSIVE STOMPING my neighbors do so enjoy...
I really wanted to like it here, but I am unfortunately, I am at my wits end.
The windows and the sliding glass doors are shoddy, so you feel like you are outside no matter what! This place is an eco-enemy!!!
Please, save your money and sanity. Oh-- and the tenants let their dogs poo right under your window and will look you straight in the eye while their precious dog shats. Yummy.

If you want peace and quiet, move out of a college town and/or buy a house.
