At first the apartments didn't seem so bad, but lately I've been really bothered by some things. First off- there are roaches in my apartment and I am not a messy person. I think it's caused by the dumpster sitting so close to the building, and it may be that there are other people in the apartments who are nasty. Secondly, the second month I was here I had a peeping tom staring through my windows at me. I was in the living room in my nightgown. My curtains were closed except for a small area where my cat had pushed it back to get into the window. Needless to say I got freaked out and really pissed off. This guy was just standing there with his face pressed against my screen! I could deal with that though, especially since we they hired a security guard with dogs. But the worst part has to be the crazy neighbors and screaming at all hours of the day or night. I work hard and I don't like my sleep being disturbed by people screaming at night or the neighbors hanging around outside having loud conversations. It's rude and really frustrating- especially to a single woman.
Another problem is the serious lack of storage space. The apartments are small, but the space they have isn't set up to be useful. The kitchen has so little space as to be useless and the bedroom closet is tiny.
All in all, I'll be looking for an apartment with better storage and quieter, cleaner grounds as soon as my lease is up. Can't wait.
