I lived here for 3 years, and can honestly say I loved it. I am NOT employed by Rock Creek and I thought it was quiet, grad student friendly, and affordable. I liked that there wasn't much drive-through traffic. Yes, the facilities are simple, but they are better than nothing and at least they were well kept. All of my neighbors were really friendly, and I liked all the big trees. Also, the person complaining about noise' Not sure what they are talking about. I lived right off the area where the bus stopped and never heard it. (The bus drivers almost ran over me and my dog a few times, but that isn't Rock Creek's fault).
The only negatives were:
Electric Bill was very high- not sure that this is a Rock Creek problem though. I have lived at other communities with Piedmont Power and all of the bills have been high.
The absolute disaster of Rock Haven Rd. You literally took your life in your hands driving it. They have fixed it, but it took years to do.
Management turn-over- they do change alot but everyone I have dealt with has been pretty nice.
We only moved because we outgrew our apartment. I think some of these people are expecting way too much. It's just an apartment; there is only so much you can expect without paying a million dollars!
