Pros:
For the price, it's pretty spacious, and I liked the vaulted ceiling in our villa style, 2 br apartment. The office staff is very friendly and accomodating, as is the maintenance staff. Noise hasn't been an issue, and I don't really see the neighbors around that often.

Cons:
The building is pretty old and the paint in the closets is chipping off. We also had some mice in our apartment, but the maintenance staff set some traps and got rid of them for us. As for the electric bill, I was used to splitting $50-60 with Duke Power at my old apartment complex, but here with Piedmont Electric, the bill has been anywhere from $65-200 (we keep our thermostat at 65 in the winter and around 75 in the summer)

Overall a pretty good place to live, but I'm moving out since I've found a nicer place with a lower electric bill.

Interesting to see that this problem doesn't seem to have changed with time... I tracked the per-kWh costs of electricity for the entire time I was at Rock Creek and then again for several months after I moved to a location serviced by Duke Energy. The per-kWh electricity costs, *taken from the utility bills*, indicated that Piedmont was charging 40-50% more per kWh than Duke Energy.

Guess the office staff wasn't lying to me when they said it was Piedmont's billing and not the apartments (which that is what Piedmont told me- it's not us it's Rock Creek).
