I have lived at Rock Creek apartments since July 08 to present and I can't even come up with one complaint. I do not have animals or bugs in my apartment and the maintenance staff is AMAZING. The most responsive, fast, and courteous of any maintenance people where I've lived. The office staff is also great, and they somehow always manage to remember my name. The buildings are a little older, but I love that the walls are thicker than the brand new buildings, so I can't hear anything from the two apartments around mine (and a family with 3 kids lives in one). And, if you have pets, the pet rent here is so low- $10!
In response to one previous review: I think whoever is paying 250/mo for A/C in the summer needs to learn how to set his/her thermostat. There are a couple of stray cats that I've seen randomly, but none of them actually came up to me.
All in all, I think this is a great value and is great for grad students (especially b/c of the J bus that runs every 15-20 minutes!) or anyone working on campus!
