As many of us who have lived in Chapel Hill know, it is difficult to find an inexpensive apartment without fearing for your life, so when I first saw DR and found out that the rent was suprisingly affordable I was pretty excited.
Problem #1
We were promised one floor plan and were given another. We move in only to discover that we had been given a "batcave" version of the ground level appartments. Our windows were at ground level. Imagine fooling around with your boyfriend to find 5 children looking at you through the window. We always had to keep all the blinds closed.
Problem #2
They will rent to anyone and the many children they may have. Early in the morning I got to listen to all of them run across my ceiling. There are often questionalbe people hanging around in front of the buildings.
Problem #3
Two words: Maintenance Issues. If you can fix it do it yourself and don?t let the maintenance people in when you?re not there.
