I came to UNC for grad school and this is definitely better than any place I stayed in during my undergrad years at another school. I've been here two years and must say that management does seem to have declined somewhat. The original management was amazing.

We haven't had any work order problems. They're remodeling many of the apartments at this time, but we moved in just before this process began so we still have some pretty old carpet and kitchen equipment, but it works just fine.

The bedrooms and living area are very large, especially for the price. I love having a balcony. The planings and old growth trees on grounds are refreshing at times. Parking is better than anything that I'm used to, and having three bus stops on the boarder of the property is fantastic.

I use the weight room 4-5 times a week and have been fairly pleased with the condition of the equipment. Occassionally there is a problem, such as one time a few of the plates were broken on the lat machine, but it took not much longer than a week for them to be replaced. It's not exactly the type thing sitting back in storage. For anyone paranoid about the equipment not being clean, I have a hint for you, bring a towel. I've also found that it is quite easy to get washing machines after 10 or 11 at night. I'm a night owl and this apartment complex has worked out great for me. The parking lot is well lit and I feel safe walking about at night.

I've also found many of my neighbors to be quite friendly. I love the mixture of people and would go crazy if it were all students. For a little while one of our neighbors woke us up with Eminem on Saturdays. It wouldn't come on until a little after 10:00 so it wasn't so bad. However, this did stop after a few weeks. Buck for buck, I don't know how this place can be beat.
