Years at this apartment: 1988 - 1992
I lived in the Villages from 1988 to 1992 as a medical student. The value was pretty good years ago--I had a one bedroom loft apartment. Office Staff and the owner were wonderful in those days as well as maintenance group. I felt safe and comfortable there would probably pick it again.
Only bad thing was those darned electric bills from Piedmont Electric Company. It was infuriating that they got away with charging about 40% more than Duke Power. Management couldn't do anything as it would take the NC legislature to change electric territories. The apartment are older, first opened in 1973, but most of the problem is still that darned rural elecric co-op.
