So far, I'm not impressed...

I moved into a townhome in this community back in June 2008, and so far, I'm not impressed. The townhome itself is nice enough. The kitchen is huge, which I love. But there are some issues. When the cable company came to set up my cable, I discovered the cable had been run through the hall closet so there is literally a cable wire hanging down the middle of the closet to one of the upstairs bedrooms. It had been spliced so many times that I can pick up maybe 12 of the 72 channels in my bedroom and so far, no one will work with me and the cable company and allow them to access the original cables above the bedroom to correct this. Also, I have a pest problem. There are silverfish all over the apartment. I'm up to my third request with maintenance to get this issue resolved, but they just don't seem to care. On my second request, the maintenance department said they didn't treat for those pests...lucky for me, I saved the first email where they told me they did. On the third time around, after emailing the management office about the problem, maintenance is coming back out to lay the same boric acid they've been laying, which obviously doesn't take care of the problem. I'm becoming very frustrated.

Parking is okay, each unit gets 2 spaces. My neighbors have a lot of visitors however, and when the visitor spaces are full, they will simply park behind the cars, blocking the other residents in. There are quite a few kids in the neighborhood as well, and with no parental supervision, the kids are always messing with my cars and leaving trash all over. And so far, the managers don't seem to care when I've voiced my concerns.

The unit itself is nice enough, but it's not worth the other hassles. I don't think I'll be renting from Rhyne Properties again.
