It sounds like the management is writing their own reviews and patting themselves on the back. The entire staff is one big joke. The only thing they care about is getting your rent check in their hands and nothing else. They don't like to deal with any problems within the complex. They lie to your face and tell you what you want to hear just to get you to shut up and out of their face. They don't like to deal with any problems that come up and act like they don't believe you if you do go to them with a problem.
Maintenance is a big joke at all. You'd be better off just fixing it yourself.
