I have been living here for over a year. I have mixed feelings. As far as recommendations of whether or not to live here, it s really dependent upon what you are looking for. If you are looking for inexpensive, safe housing in a good school district that will get you through a rough time in your life, then this is the place. Expect nothing more. If you are looking for a comfortable long term home, then no. Spend a few extra bucks and get a place that is better taken care of.

Aside from the gazillion geese pooping everywhere, I have a few more important issues. One, my furnace is so loud. When it kicks on or off it sounds like a gun shot. Visiting guests hit the deck when it turns on and always ask What was that'!' . Oh, that s just my air conditioner working very hard to keep my place cool . Sound is getting worse. I've notified them of the problem and they told me it's just working hard to keep my apt cool...umm ok. I ve lived in probably 10 apartments in my thirty-something years and I have never had a sound like that. The continual clunking sound as it runs has me sleeping like a baby at night. Again, my requests for repairs leave me to believe that I am inconvenient to the office staff. One of the three maintenance employees is somewhat competent however he is so overwhelmed and really doesn t have time to give a crap.

Secondly, my stairwell is decorated for Halloween year-round! It s so disgustingly covered in spider webs and spiders. The pollen from last spring is so decorative on the railings during the fall. It adds a beautiful green hue to the place. After three requests, someone finally came to pressure wash it. This consisted of spraying some water all over the walkways. My spider friends are still safely nestled outside my door as is the neighbors cigarette wrapper that has been on the fourth step from the top for two months. However, the wood on my inside door jam is now nice and wet and has expanded. Now when I open my door, the Halloween d cor is complete with an eerie squeaky door sound. The person who did this has made it quite clear that they didn t care to pressure wash it. It was a complete waste of time and not to mention a waste of water.

I do want to provide you with a few positive notes um it s often quiet and I consider it to be affordable and generally safe. Nice walking trails to Bond Park. However, I still have no plans to renew my lease.

As far as previous reviews by other people:
Agree: Staff started out friendly and responsive but definitely not the case now. Litterbug tenants, barking dogs, overflowing trash bins, no recycling (except boxes), beer cans left in parking lot.

Oh yeah, dark stairwells from lights not working, sink detached from my counter and fixed by filling in a hole with caulking which dripped under the sink and now has a hole with caulking (not fixed). I'm sure I will think of more once I post this.
