Update!!! My downstairs neighbor has compla9ned about my noise, she's nice about it, but it still bothers me since the 2400 building isnt very sound proffed at all. I can hear people vacuum sometimes, and Our spiral starcase is very loud. I wish that they would ahve done a better job on it and possibly enlarged the unit to accomodate one with a larger diamater.

I also have some design flaws to point out, when you shut the downstairs bathroom door a nudge hard (required to get it to shut at all) it will actually open up the second master bedroom access door and that door comes open really easy. I also note that the electrical is odd and they dont have enough outlets on the loft, one outlet is bad to have a second surge protector hooked up to it since the light switch turns it on/off and it could shut your second computer off! I think they should have made another outlet on the back wall.

I think the “loft” units at CNS are very cool! They are very spacious and they are only 1046 sq ft, however, they feel way bigger due to the massive cathedral ceiling in here!

When I moved in (a transfer from a 2 bedroom unit) I was very astounded at how much of a different look-and-feel this place had! I almost feel like I’m in a different apartment complex! I am 2400 building. This building is very relaxing and has a nice wooded view. I love it.

The layout is also better for young couples then the 2 bedroom units were. You can use the top loft as a really nice office! If you have a wooded view one it’s very awesome!

I love to hang out on the top stoop they provided at the loft since I put some cushioning there to lie down and I can gaze at the clouds at day and stars at night and watch movies on my computer in more comfort. It’s very nice.

The living room has the designated TV spot carved out so your TV isn’t jutting out at you. I also like the placement of the cable jack in that room. The windows are very big and let a lot of light into the room.

The loft office is about 12 feet long, a good size for a 2 person office, if executed right. I’d suggest having both computer desks on the main back wall, much better placement. Now the only part about the loft I don’t like is the fact they placed the cable jack in a bad spot, where the railing ends right before the bathroom door. I wish they would have put it on the back wall! I’m also glad they have the bathroom here so you don’t have to go downstairs to use the pot. He he. The windows are huge in the room and it lets a lot of light in. They also provided a sconce on the wall for lighting. And it is switch able from the entry point downstairs, which is a good convenience.

The bathroom at the loft is pretty big in 2400 building, with some extra drawers for storage in the sink. Water pressure in the BR is good since I thought it wouldn’t be due the fact it’s on a 4th floor!

The dining room is very nice and you are treated to a nice dining atmosphere if you have a wooded view loft! I am enjoying my meals more! They also have a chandelier in there too. It’s pretty good sized as well.

The bedroom is pretty big and I have my bed parallel angled with the bathroom door and the dresser besides the bed and it gives the room a neat effect. I like it. I also like the HUGE walk in closet! I had to add an extra rod to hold my massive amount of clothes! I suggest Archstone put an extra one there in case someone like me moves in with a store full of clothes! LOL. The bedroom windows are again, Very HUGE and let a lot of light in! CNS is a very nice bright place! Bright in all aspects!

The bathroom downstairs is very big and has good water pressure in my unit. It has a big sink area and you can have room for a shelf to hold towels, etc on. The layout is good in the BR.

The kitchen is pretty large for an apartment kitchen, not much smaller then the 2BR units. It lacks the pantry but you can store your food in the cabinets for better organization. The dishwasher in our unit is a very good one. The sink placement is odd because you can see it from a good bit of the house. I suggest you keep it clean! I also suggest placing a curtain over the window in that area to hide the dirty dishes. Offside the kitchen is a utility room. Its fairly small but should hold a top-bottom washer and dryer, a litter box, and the cat’s food and a trash can easily. It has washer-dryer connections and has shelving in it to store stuff. Not much else to say about this area.

Now the entry point is good with a decent closet and it has a light there. Not much else….

Now some units in certain buildings feature outside storage. Mine does. 2200 buildings and 2400 buildings have lofts with storage available. Any other units designated as 1937 for example, do not have storage due to the configuration of the buildings. I suggest if you get a loft without storage, to go though some of your junk and throw it away since there is not much closet space here, Or to lease a garage. They are 95/mo attached and 75/mo detached.

When we moved in there were a few things wrong. The ice maker did not work, the kitchen sink sprayer leaked, the bathroom door in the loft did not want to shut right, and the drain plug in the downstairs bathroom sink is broke/stuck most way shut.Also our disposal is broken.

They have fixed all the of problems on the list and they did it good. It took them a couple days to finish it all and they were late coming back the first day since they had some business in the office to be taken care of. But he was back to fix it. repairs were done satisfactory.

Now about thier 24 hour guarantee, Theres not much to it and they don't come within 24 hours alot of the time for non-critical stuff. So don't expect this. They only have 3 mant. men for 308 units. So likely they will be slightly busy, expect this.

I do have problems with our toilets. It keep plugging up very esily. I stick one square papertowel in it and it pluggs up just like that. I think they should use american standard since I saw this thing on the science channel and they can flush 12 golf balls down it and it never clogs! If they did that they wouldnt have to come de-clog toilets that much. LOL! I feel sorry for those with 1 bedroom units.

They have streched the carpets. They were loose in a few places and The carpet guy did miss a spot.

I loved the loft as well but this neighborhood sucks. You should not have recomended it.
