I've lived here for all but 18 months in the past 6 years in 3 different apartments, all on the first floor, and absolutely love it. Plenty of windows, great layout and square footage (offered the biggest apts. in the area back in 1998), and large patios. Also a nice, quiet neighborhood. Rent has dropped dramatically since I first moved here from PA in 1998, and although I do see bugs now and then, I figure that's the South and I'm on the first floor. Location doesn't get much better than this, and the area is crime-free for the most part. Management has changed several times, but I got a good deal so I'm not complaining. Head maintenance guy lives here and has worked here for awhile, and requests are always taken care of right away.

Do they take care of the bug problems? What have you done to solve it? I am also looking at getting a 1st floor apartment and would like to know if bugs are a continuous problem.
