All residents were given an option to participate in bulk cable package.
We declined, only to be told on 9/7/07, it would be effective on9/15.
We have no option except to convert to apartment complex demands or switch to Direct TV..
Then when we are to renew next year, it will be automatically added to our rent as an amenity..
AND We don't want it..
Whether we like it or not, our only option is to accept this DICTATED option or MOVE..
We are moving....

Agreed. And on top of this, they don't even offer recycling with the trash pickup, in spite of information from the solid waste contractor that it would cost the complex less than $200 in fees to add recycling at each of the trash pickups.
They just posted my lease renewal and they want to charge me a $200 "administrative fee" to renew my lease, they're raising the rent by $30, and now they're asking that I pay $7 a month to pay for my own trash.
The management of colonial village does not have the interests of the tenants in mind.

Mmmm you might want to read your lease a little closer it references another section in the lease that explains it further... the $200 fee you are speaking of on the first page isn't a fee to renew it is the administrative fee to cover costs IF they have to take you to court for eviction proceedings and you do not pay it unless they file an eviction for non-payment of rent. They do offer recycling areas now through out the community.

The property does offers recycling! Open your eyes! If you dont like it there then MOVE! No one is keeping you there!
