I have had a TON of maintenance problems since I've moved in. Colonial Village decided to save money and lay off most of their maintenance workers, leaving two to take care of the entire community. My apartment is one of the "renovated" ones and whoever did the renovations did a terrible, fast and sloppy job. The trim was never painted and the painting in general is very sloppy. The diswasher and fridge is a LOT smaller than the non-renovated apts and the dishwasher is probably the cheapest model ever made. It doesn't wash the dishes so I have to wash by hand now.
I have also had three leaks so far, one of which I had to fix myself because it took over a week to get someone to come over and look at it.
I'm still waiting on maintenance to come by and finish painting from the second and third leak. The second one happened 2 months ago and they're still not finished. I hate even going to the office because I've had so many problems that the office staff makes a sour face when they see me. It's not my fault that I have constant problems and can't ever get someone to come over and take care of it. I just want my apartment to look nice, is that too much to ask for'
I'm beginning to hate where I live and I will not renew my lease. I advise everyone to find an apartment community with an adequate maintenance team that can actually respond to emergencies. When my neighbors hot water heater busted it took 7 hours for someone to respond.
