Incredibly Safe; Wonderful Management

My husband and I lived here for about a year and are only moving because of a job transfer. We found this apartment on the internet, in a blind move from Texas; we can't BELIEVE how lucky we were to have ended up here. Couldn't have asked for better, especially for how affordable it is for newlyweds!
We had a top floor unit, so I can't speak to the noise level from upstairs neighbors, but I know we never heard the people next door-- insulation was great. In general it's very quiet and safe (Cary itself is very quiet and safe)-- but the complex is especially sheltered from any traffic noise, or airport noise (the international aiport is about 10 minutes away, but the planes don't actually seem to fly over Cary!).
All our neighbors were very sweet people; several young couples. The grounds are regularly maintained, maintenance requests were attended to quickly, parking is ample, the trash bin is centrally located, the pool is always clean, and the apartments themselves are very neutral, clean, and nice (even the storage area off the balcony-- which in some complexes tends to be severely neglected). We used their tennis courts all the time (the lights don't work at night; that's one thing the previous manager never got around to fixing despite our inquiries).
Best of all, though, is the current management. It's part of this company called Mid-America Apartment Communities, and the property manager that moved in this summer has been working for the MAAC company a long time and does a FABULOUS job when it comes to customer service. Maybe because it's this large network and is therefore holistically-minded... but for whatever reason, the company as a whole seems to care about their clients, far beyond what you get from your run-of-the-mill, stingy landlord. They're personal and treat you with respect, even if you're young and not your typical, stable, older couple.
There seemed to be several families around with children, but I know from experience that it's a good location for young couples-- good when it comes to price, flexibility, and excellent conditions.
We chose it for it's close proximity to Hwy 40, which ended up being good because my husband worked in Durham and I worked in Raleigh. From here you have access to all the hotspots in the Triangle in about 10-15 minutes, which is also a nice bonus.
We highly recommend it, and in general, our entire experience with MAAC.

If the previous poster (carygal) actually lives here, she is undoubtably the worst thing about these apartments.
