I had a good experience living here until now.
I am a light sleeper and since some neighbors moved into the floor down stair, i have not been able to sleep.
The apartments look nice but poorly designed.
I can hear them stepping around, slamming doors.
I have been sick a lot lately and can barely function because of the noise issues.
I inquired about moving out but the penalty is 2-month rent (before discount).
If i had known about the penalty, i would never moved in here to begin with.
When i rented this place, I thought it's an up scale neighborhood and i was committed to living here for at least a year.
I never thought i would have to deal with immature, inconsiderate teenagers.
So,if you are looking for a quiet place to stay, this is not it.
Also, the management is not flexible at all.
They seem nice and professional but would not accommodate your requests even if your health is in jeopardy and your work productivity is compromised.
I offer paying one month of rent penalty for moving out early but they would not accept it.
If I move out early, i have to pay over $1200.
That's just ridiculous!!! I am going to appeal again, wish me luck:).
If they don't change their mind, I am going to tell every body i know about this place.
I know, I should have inquired about the penalty when considering moving in here.
I did, but circumstances change.
I never thought i would go days without good sleep because of the damn noisy neighbors.

2 month's rent is a reasonable penalty to pay- I had to break my lease in New York City and had to pay MORE than that- I had to pay out the lease for 5 months. That's just business.

eyeofra21...you are just a manager responding to this review. I lived in BKLYN for four years and when I found a job in NORTH CAROLINA,I had to sub-lease the apartment or pay at lease one month rent, and give -up the return deposit, which is the same as the first month rent.($1,200) IT IS NOT LEGAL TO CHARGE SOMEONE 5 MONTH'S RENT TO BREAK A LEASE. Take it from a real New Yorker...this person is lying!!!!!!

I've lived in NC all my life. When I went to DC to study I found out that different apt. complexes have different rules about early move outs and notices. The same is true for NC. Breaking your lease is pretty serious and I have heard of ppl having to either pay out the rest of the time on the lease or one months worth and no deposit is returned.

Have you called the police? I know thats sounds pretty ---- but it may help. There should be laws to protect people from those who choose to disturb the peace. One other suggetion is maybe ask if you can change apartments. Good Luck to you.
