Not a bad place to live

I have lived in Hyde Park for almost 9 months now. I love the location and I feel safe living here. The complex is very aesthetically appealing and the rent is not outrageous. I will probably not live here again next year simply because Cary is very boring for me. I would much rather live in Raleigh or Chapel Hill. The parking is not the best, sometimes it is hard to find a close spot. The rent is a bit high for my taste, but it is Cary. Maintenance is usually prompt and adequate. The managers are pretty nice and professional. There was a recent incident where plumbers were brought in to work on the water system and water leaked through my ceiling (along with nearly every other tenant's ceiling). However, I do not really fault the Hyde Park management other than choosing the wrong plumber for the job.

Overall, it is a nice place to live. I would recommend it to a friend, but I would not make it my first choice.

This is just funny. Saying one would rather live in Raleigh or Chapel "Thrill" for more excitement and that the rent is a bit high at Hyde Park? Surely they will find excitement at any apartment complex in Raleigh (especially in CH) that's got rent more to "their taste". The ghetto is always exciting in that sense, and that my friend will be the only thing you'll find if the rent at Hyde Park is a bit high for your taste. I've been apartment shopping for a couple months now coming from owning a house for 6 years. Prices now aren't much different than they were 7 years ago, but the class of various complexes in the area has changed dramatically and Hyde Park seems to still avoid being part of that downfall of the more reasonable priced places. I've checked out apartments in the same price range in Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill that used to be nice places, but now are a bit sketchy where I wouldn't feel safe parking my car at night. The other ratings on the negative side are also amusing. Almost each one has poor grammar or spelling. Hmmm... ;-)
