I like my apartment itself, but overall, I have lived in better complexes.

It is populated mostly by corporate people and there are SO many little kids. You can't even go to the pool in the warm months because there are screaming kids everywhere.

The office staff is okay, although the nice property manager just left, which is disappointing.

Their "package" system SUCKS...they just throw your package into a closet in the clubhouse and you have to hunt for it yourself. Not very secure...not to mention illegal! Their office hours are inconvenient for working people.

The gym is okay, nothing spectacular. Most of the weights have been stolen in the six months that I have lived there, which is really sad. The treadmill was broken for about two or three months. There is only one of each piece of equipment, which can be a pain, and the gym is quite small. I don't like going there late at night because the door to the outside (which has a code) is always broken and anyone could get in.

The apartments themselves are spacious and well laid out, but the appliances are really old and the carpet was nasty when I moved in. The bathrooms are nice and large.

Maintenance is nice and responsive.

It is in a nice neighborhood (Lochmere) and very close to the nice Harris Teeter.

Overall, I like The Park, but I don't think I'll stay there after my lease is up. There are other complexes out there with more bang for your buck.
