Every once in a while I check reviews on Lodge @ Crossroads ("Lodge") just to keep myself informed about what other folks are thinking. I have just read all 33 posted reviews and today is October 22, 2008.
My wife and I had never rented in our 40 years together until now. We moved from NJ via FL to Cary in July 2006. After studying over 25 possible rental sites in the Triangle and Piedmont we opted for The Lodge not without a great deal of apprehension.
We occupy a 3BR first floor unit; although there are only two of us, we just like the additional breathing space a large unit offers especially one with an attached garage (which was a required amenity). All of our living areas including a much-used patio face tall, thick forest growth reminding us of the tranquility we enjoyed at our camp retreat in Schroon Lake, NY and treating our senses to the beauty of nature particularly in Fall. Ours is arguably the best unit in the complex and is only a one minute walk to the community building and pool. We love Cary, our neighborhood and all of its conveniences and especially the manager and staff of Riverstone Residential that oversee the operation and maintenance of The Lodge.
We have been exposed to the two other prior Lodge management companies and their personnel but none approached the stature of the current manager and her staff and particularly the maintenance crew. We have NEVER been treated in any but the most cordial, courteous, expeditious and professional manner by all of them. We have found that any and every request is accepted with a smile and immediate attention i.e. "please hang a chandelier", "please install a grab bar in the baths". "please paint our patio deck", "please remove a dumpster fom our patio line-of-sight", "why don't you folks erect a flagpole at the entry to the Lodge", "please have our carpetting cleaned" (and it was the next week).....etc,etc,etc.
We are more than content to spend our remaining years at the Lodge, Lord willing (and IF the present level of management continues. Many, many kudoes and raves for the folks at THE Lodge!!!
Anyone wanting verification of my status as a tenant and not as owner/manager, please email me at lawmate@nc.rr.com. Have a Great Day and God Bless.

Another bogus review by management - they even BRING UP the so-called fact that they're not management. Exactly how do they plan to prove that? Anyone can get a road-runner email address, including management staff, and pretend to be a tenant. No one is arguing against the fact that The Lodge is a great apartment complex. All anyone is asking is that the management match the quality of the rest of the experience. The fact that they would sink to writing these fake reviews is really sad.

I am the manager. I did ask this resident and several others to write reviews based on their experience. I think this is completely fair to do. Please call me sometime so we may discuss the issues you have had or are having. The number here is 919-816-8080. This resident did make the suggestion for the flag pole and was instrumental in getting the flag pole approved by The Town of Cary. I believe he left his email address if you would like to confirm that he is a resident. Again, please contact me at your earliest convenience so we may discuss and resolve the issues you are having. Thanks!

Anonymity is only employed when one does not have the courage to stand behing his/her/its "convictions". Pity you have to carry such cynicism baggage Anon. I don't envy your outlook on life or people but then we all have a cross to bear.

Sounds like "lawmate" is the owner or manager of the Lodge. Why don't they listen to what people are saying? If this is how people feel, doesn't it matter at all to them?
