Since moving here in 2005 I have been very pleased with all exept one experience that I had with a former leaser at the time of moving in.Ever since then everything has been great.I started out with a one bedroom plan on the wooded side with the lake just beond the trees. My apartment was beautiful.the floorplan was very open with a large tub in the bathroom, large windows, large patio, and large kitchen. The maintenance staff have always been quick on the few issues that I have had And although I havent had many dealings with past office staff I have had A few instances of conversing with the present and they are always very kind and seem happy to be of help. The manager showed honest concern for me and was able to help me resolve A problem that was on the horizon. Now I am renting A two bedroom plan that is absolutly gorgous with an attatched garage that is so convenient. I call my apartment the resort.I LOVE IT HERE

It's obvious that the new management has decided to create a number of hotmail/other accounts and write bogus reviews. This is probably because a few reviews recently have contained some negative feedback regarding the new management. This is clear due to a number of factors. One, the frequency of reviews - they are coming in every week, when before they came in every couple months (more natural as most people are busy and don't have time to review). Another dead give-away is the writing style in the latest review - the average person would never make these kinds of errors with grammar, punctuation, capitalization, etc. Their efforts to create a "realistic" review went a little overboard. Most people who can afford the high rents at the Lodge hold down jobs that require them to be able to write English properly. Another clue is the extremely hyper-positive nature of the last two reviews (oh, really, it was YOU that had that flagpole installed!). Only management would name the management company - the majority of people living in the complex have no idea and really don't care. If management wants to combat negative reviews, the best thing they can do is improve service, provide enough office staff (one or zero is not enough), respond to requests, etc. Making up these reviews is really low.

Dear Anonymous,
I am the manager. I do not know who posted the "very pleased" review. It was not me or any one else in the office. I do check the ratings from time to time to make sure we are doing a good job. I realize that you cannot make everyone happy all the time, but we really do try. Please call me sometime at your convenience so we may discuss the issues you have had. I really would like to help resolve them or at least be aware of what has happened to make you so unhappy. The flag review is really from a resident that lives here. I believe he left his email in the posting. I did, however, ask him to write a posting due to the negative ones I had seen. It is true that he suggested that we put a flag pole in and he actually helped me get it approved through the Town of Cary. You might not care about the pole, but it was obviously important to him and I felt it would be a good addition to our community. Do you have anything that you would like to see happen here? I am very open to suggestions. I recently put adirondack chairs down by the lake because I had people make comments about how nice it would be. So, yes, I have asked residents to post reveiws. I think this is completely fair to have reviews from people who are happy. This is not just supposed to be a forum to make passive agressive gestures. Again, please call me. The office # is 919-816-8080. Just tell me you are "anonymous" and we can both have a good chuckle.:)

Goooood for you Ms. Manager. But any effort to appease this clown will be naught but an exercise in futility - don't waste your time and concern on deadbeat Anon; he gets his jollies when his vitriol is perpetuated. (I wonder if my use of words of more than one syllable mark me as an elite management member or is Mr/Mrs Ano perplexed by language above fourth grade level?)
By the way, the Adirondack chairs are a big plus; my wife and I make frequent use of them whenever we get the urge to take a stroll. Thanks for your usual thoughtfulness (although Ano will be convinced that you wrote this self-congratulatory note). What a tragedy to see life with such cynicism!! Let's all pray for the troubled soul.
Think I should go back and be sure there are mispellings and grammatical errors above?
Keep up the good work L and don't let the .....grind you down.

I live here and agree with this review. I'm hyperaware of fake sounding reviews through many years of using this site and this one didn't strike me as suspicious in the slightest. Anon just seems lonely; who else would devote their time to watching their own complex on this site just to muddy up other people's reviews? I'll be terribly annoyed if they comment on the one I came on to write, guess I better watch my grammar...
