I moved in a couple months ago and have not been happy with the place. I do like the overall layout of the apartment; it's certainly the best I've seen in the area. However, the overall construction of the building leaves a lot to be desired. The facing is falling off the kitchen cabinets and drawers. I've glued it back on in spots so it doesn't look too bad, but it's never been a problem at any other place that I've ever rented from, and most of those were a lot older than these apartments. The noise is bad; there's just not installation in the walls and floors. The management was good about helping tone down the noise from the other apartments (namely loud music) but I can still hear talking and other noise from below. I also feel uncomfortable because I know the people below can here every footstep I make. I walk softely but for some reason the floor creaks like my parents' 30-yr old house. People do not pick up after their pets, which is odd to me because there's plenty of pet stations around although they're not always stocked and emptyed properly. The cleaning and overall condition of the place was poor when I moved in. The carpet looks pretty ratty and there was a big blue ink stain in the closet floor (not sure why management didn't take the opportunity to charge the previous resident for a carpet change). Also, the tub is rust-stained and I haven't been able to get the grimy look off the tub floor. In total, I've been really disappointed and am already looking forward to being able to move out.
