I recently relocated to Cary, NC in December 2005 from the West Coast. I did my research for an apartment on-line and I contacted several properties located in Cary which seemed appropriate to my needs.

Sadly, I found out in minutes that I was dealing with inexperienced or poorly trained staff at all of the properties I contacted.

That is until I contacted The Marquis At Preston apartments...

When I called The Marquis At Preston leasing office staff I was pleasantly surprised to find that they were indeed professionals in their trade and responded immediately with clear and concise information!

In my initial contact I presented a "shopping list" of questions regarding the apartment choices, availability, amenities, lease terms, rules and regulations, maintenace policies, staff employment history and training, and property management background.

I presented the issue of the poor reviews I had read on this site and asked if these reviews had any validity, and most importantly, if these issues had been totally resolved!

I was informed that the staff and tenant issues had been resolved by the transfer of the resident manager and the assistant managers involved in the period of turmoil reported in the series of poor reviews posted on this web site.

So, having said all this I certainly recommend The Marquis At Preston for anyone looking for a highly trained, and very professional leasing office and maintenance staff!

The property is approximately 11 years old and the apartment units are attractive and well maintained. The maintenance staff is very responsive and in my opinion quite capable of performing any and all of their duties efficiently and courteously.

I rented an A-2 unit on the third floor level with a fireplace and cathedral ceilings in the living room and bedroom. This unit is in my opinion a bargain because of the layout of the floor plan, the square footage, and the overall esthetic appeal.

The common areas are pleasantly landscaped and mature after 11 years of growth. The grounds, parking areas, and sidewalks are meticulously maintained.

Comparable accommodations where I lived on the West Coast would cost at least twice the amount in monthly rent!

Not to mention the non-existent tenant support and building maintenance from the resident managers and property management companies, which I experienced living there for over thirty years!

The Marquis At Preston is a mixed community of singles, retirees, couples, and young families with small childrem. It is a quiet and safe environment.

There is a resident security guard (a Town of Cary policeman) who enforces The Marquis At Preston policies and the Town Of Cary laws.

The location is one of the best in all of Cary, in my opinion, with easy access to the important areas within the Town Of Cary and the Research Triangle Park area in general.

I am quite happy living here at The Marquis At Preston, because I have been treated with courtesy and professionalism from the first moment I made contact.

The entire staff here have been extremely welcoming, friendly, and helpful to me as I arranged my move over the telephone from the West Coast, and they remain so each and every day I come in contact with them!

An apartment is basically a box wherein you live, for the most part, and in my opinion there are very few major differences in one box to another. I mean to say, problems usually arise external to your box when you live as a tenant in an apartment building or complex; such as with a neighbor, or most often with management, and maintenace issues.

Therefore, I would like to comment that after living as an apartment tenant for most of my life, I must tell you that the most important element for me has always been my relationaship with the property owner or landlord, the building manager, and the property management company.
