Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2004
When I moved in, I had a nest of roaches living on the balcony. I informed the office manager immediately and followed up with the manager every week. After a month, I still had roaches - both on the balcony and in the apartment.
I also reported routine maintanence issues that included touch up painting, re-attaching a screen door, and cleaning out the dryer vents. After a week, I called them back and reported the issues a second time. So far, it has been 4 more days and the repairs are not complete.
The apartment is poorly constructed and maintained. The walls have mulitple dents and show poor repair of previous holes. The carpet has a lot of small stains; the kitchen counter moulding has been torn off and instead of replaced, the wood underneath was painted white. The cabinets are chipped and show large chunks of particle board. Also, the bathroom linoleum has burn holes, and the cabinets are chipped and dirty. Overall, the apartment looks cheap.
When my lease expires, I will move to another apartment complex. I don't believe the poor facilities and management justify the rent.
