I moved in about three weeks ago and already want to leave. I had to replace light bulbs burnt out all over the apt, leaking toilets, doors that don't shut, etc(the list goes on but i won't bore you.) Management has promised to fix these things repeatedly but they just say that to get you out of the office. The grounds are nice, excellent fitness center and pool, but trust me not worth it. I will be giving intent to leave when i pay my first months rent.

Update, apparently management read some bad reviews because they sent around a poll, in this poll i told them the problems with the apartment. That was a month ago and I haven't heard back, its not like they don't know where i live. I get to move out in 8 months, unless some reader wants to take over my lease.

2nd Update. They read reviews on this site, and they contacted me to fix some problems with the apartment, again. It's been about a week, but they had to order parts.

3. A week and a half later all the things I talked with the apartment office about are fixed. They actually did a really good job, better than I expected. There are still many maintenance issues from when I moved in, but they show promise of positive change.

4. Wow, I'm slightly impressed that they have completed all the maintenance problems that were present when I moved in. It took them awhile, but after a rocky start they seemed to want to get these issues resolved. I left all the previous posts so you could see their progress and judge for yourself. Everything in the apartment is as it should be.

register your complaint with the BBB of Eastern NC as well as Roy Cooper's office. PLEASE!

I had the same problem when we moved in last August, lost and lots of issues with our apartment. The maintenence staff is really nice, it's not their fault the "classic" apartments are crap! We are leaving as soon as our lease is up! For any Stratford employees that are reading this: These apartments are too expensive for what you get, there are many competetors with brand new everything for the same price as the classic apartments!
