I just moved out of Vista and after reading all the other reviews I have to say that most of the not so great ones are on target. I too had "upstairs noise" issues when I first moved in last September. When I tried to address the problem, -----, the complex manager, would not return my phone calls, then dismissed my problem by having her assistant manager tell me that it would cost $500 to change apartments. Since I live on a teacher's salary, that was not an option. Also, the smoke alarm did go off a few times on the rare occassion that I cooked, not burnt something, which was obnoxiously loud and annoying. The trash removal service was deplorable, it would be taken every couple of weeks so the dumpster would be overflowing with trash and bugs would be swarming. Pretty disgusting! I felt that the cleanliness of the clubhouse was very sub-standard, and the one time that I had a problem using their laundry machines, -----, again, was of no help to me. On the flip side, I did have a positive experience dealing with ------, one of their leasing agents. He was always available and ready to take care of any apartment issues I had. The other gentleman who works there was also very friendly. The maintenance people always took care of my requests promtply. My biggest gripe is that ----- needs to go through some serious customer service training and hone up on her skills. She came off as not having her resident's best interests at heart which should be a deal-breaker for any renter. I lived there for 13 months also having made the unknowing mistake of not giving 60 days notice which I did not receive the original notification letter about, and thus had to pay a higher monthly rate. I had wanted to move out the day I moved in. I never felt "at home" while living at Vista. It was an unhappy 13 months and I am so glad to no longer be a resident there.
