Rough Start

There are many nice apartments with very similar prices in the Chapel Hill area. What makes a person choose one complex over another is a very personal decision. The sales associates never know what feature made the resident choose their apaprtments over the next. For us, it was the idea of having two garages connected to my apartment. No where else could I and my husband store our belongings and cars right below our apartment without facing whatever nasty weather lay outside. No more carrying groceries or luggage through the rain or snow.
That is why we were extremely disappointed to learn that the image we were sold when applying was not the one we got when we moved in. My husband and I have garages, but they are not both attached. This is not a tragedy, but had we known when we applied (versus the day before we moved in), I am not sure we would be living here and paying a higher price. Alta Springs is much further from the bus line than other complexes and we made trade-offs for the convenience of the attached garages.
They didn't even offer a discount on the second garage when we complained. If this complex is a close call to the next one for you as well, please make sure you have everything they are promising documented before you are left without options.
