I am a grad student at UNC and I have been living at the Bradford Place since August 2003. I have lived at 2 other places previously. I also had the chance to see many of the apartments in & around Chapel Hill during my apartment searching processes and due to the fact that I have fellow grad student friends in various complexes. I can say that this most pleasant place/neighborhood I have ever seen; the downing creek neighborhood is quite nice, quiet and safe. The apartment complex is a bit more than 10 years old and I think the apartments are in great shape and are very well built. The only thing that may sound inconvenient is that there is no immediate access to public transportation. If you are a grad student at UNC and do not have a parking permit, the most convenient way to commute is to use the Park&Ride system through Friday center, which is about a mile away on 54. Aside from that, this place is very convenient; it's less than 10 minutes drive to Southpoint mall, New Hope Commons, and UNC. The closest shopping centers are Meadowmont (includes a Harris Teeter, and UNC Wellness Center gym), and the Falconbridge shopping center (Millenium gym, Amante Pizza, asian cuisine). Both are 2-3 minute rides. bYr9ljUwtCbMRXE8dRDC
