My wife and I, including our neighbors at Bradford we talked to can't understand the recent negative reviews on here. We all agree that we really liked it there. In fact the one and only reason for us moving out was the obvious benefits of home ownership. We have also gone through the two sets of ownership/management and feel no serious changes at all except for the recent construction and routine exterior work needed to keep the property up to date since it was built in the early 90's.
Compare to my experience with other properties, Bradford is great in the fact that they are flexible and do not nickel and dime you like the big corporate owned properties do with excess deposits, fees, rigid policies, etc.. However, Bradford does take noise problems very seriously and enforce it.
It is also common to retrieve your deposit as long as you take care of the place and have good standing on the lease. We found it easy to keep in close contact with the management and had problems work out in the most efficient way for both parties. When my wife and I put an offer on our house, management was real helpful by giving us flexibility on our departure considering the unknowns we were dealing with at the time.
Bradford is located perfectly on highway 54 with quick access to Chapel Hill, Meadowmont, South Point Mall, Durham and I-40. However, it is nicely tucked within Downing Creek and buffer of forests to limit the noise and traffic of HWY 54. The property is very quiet and inside a neighborhood of pricey family homes with a HOA.
I see nothing really wrong with Bradford, I guess those few people like to complain and be heard. The best way to go see what you think for yourself. I know the area really well and can say that it is best value compared to anything else to live in this area. There are some renovated (updated with hardwoods, expensive appliances etc.) apartments that go at a higher rate, but I personally liked the original better. My recommendation is to look for the units that provide the best views as we enjoyed the views of the forests, birds, etc. the most.

Sounds like a manager or employee. I completely disagree!!!!! Why would you tell us where it's located - that has nothing to do with a review. The location can be found outside of reviews. Lots of laughs!!!!

No, actually I'm a former resident in the apartments, just left in June. The location was an additional benefit of living there to us so I thought it was important to mention.

I lived in Bradford Place for 2 years, from Sept. 2004 to Sept. 2006. I totally agree with this review. It was a lovely place to live, and I would consider moving back there if life brings me back to Chapel Hill. I agree with the first response, this is clearly written by the staff - it reads like an ad.
