I loved living at Chapel Ridge apartments. The staff were all so nice and helpful until I turned my notice in that I would be moving out. I asked how long it would take to get my security deposit back and they told me 30 days. About 45 days later, I called about my deposit and it hadn't even been filed yet! When I received my check from Chapel Ridge, it was only for $66.50 (my deposit was $250). My apartment was SPOTLESS when I moved out and I've got 4 witnesses who helped me clean for a day and a half to be sure I would get my full deposit back. I called the office to ask why I didn't receive a 100% refund on my deposit and they told me that they had to change the locks (even though it WASN'T in my contract and I turned in the keys)and I had to have my carpets PROFESSIONALLY cleaned (even though we cleaned them ourselves before I moved out). They tried to hold me to 'verbal agreements' that were never even made. My contract states 'There are no contracts in addition to this CONTRACT FOR LEASE, verbal or otherwise, between the resident and the owner'.

I would not recommend anyone to live here. It's more trouble than it's worth getting your hard earned money back. My money is important to me and I feel like they have just scammed me out of my deposit.
