Pretty good for the money...

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007
I have lived in these apartments under both the previous management and (now) under College Park. They both have their issues. While there is not a police presence (that I know of) now, the last security officer was a jerk who gave out noise complaints on Saturday afternoons. He even called the REAL police on us a 9 pm on New Year's Eve! (I promise we weren't being that loud... even the cops stuck up for us.)
The people in the front office are ok. They don't seem to have a good knowledge of the complex, which I don't totally blame on them... That's more of an upper management problem. I ran into major problems with the lease. It has a lot of weird rules and stuff in it that are never explained to you. They will not sit down and look it over with you, so be prepared to go over it with a fine-toothed comb. My biggest problem: having to pay for a full month's rent when we moved in on the 12th of the month. Apparently, that's in the lease. Also, the lease is binding. If you do not want to live there anymore, you must pay for the rest of your lease. If you sub-let the apartment, there is an extra fee that you must pay each month that is sub-let.
Be aware that management is very unflexible. Again, I don't really blame them, I don't think they get much leadway from College Park. You MUST move in on a specified day.
I have never felt unsafe in this apartment. When I lived here a few years ago (under the previous management), there was a break-in, and we were immediately alerted to it via a note on the door. I would hope that the current management would have at least the same decency. Someone mentioned this before and I totally agree: INSIST on not living in the woods (I think it's the 100 to 400 buildings, but double check that). They are very dark and right next to a random parking lot. I'm sure there are bug problems with living so close to the woods. I live in the middle of the complex and have not had parking, bug, safety, or noise problems.
There are several things that I enjoy about this complex. The all inclusive thing is very easy. It doesn't save that much money, but it is very convinient. They have an answering service that takes calls on holidays... No more leaving messages after the beep and hoping someone will check the voicemail. I also really like the gym area. There are several NEW cardio machines, lots of free weights, and 2 flat screeen TVs. They spent a lot of time working on the gym, and it definitely shows. You can also use the gym down at Chapel Ridge, which is even better.
Overall, yes, I would recommend this apartment complex... just know what you are getting into, and do everything you can to avoid the wooded areas.
