Ever since my roommate and I moved into Chapel View from College Park Communities other property Chapel Ridge we have had a problem with exotic bugs, rats and mice. The staff is unwilling to help. The property manager who is probably -- or -- years old with no real experience is a jerk. Corporate is even worse. WHen we found out we had a rodent in our apt we immediately contacted the manager he told us we had to wait until the next Wed for an exterminator to come. So my roommate and I had to go out and buy our own traps and found out we had a rat not a mouse and then we had to search for the rat hole. ALl the maintence people did was come in and fill in the hole and left a mess with the stuff on our front door, carpet and closet. But clearly that didnt help because we just trapped 2 mice or baby rats last night. Also we have a horrible bug problem and we keep getting them to spray, the bugs keep coming back. Management thinks that just because this is a student community that the can screw people over. My advice..don't sign a lease..if you've signed a general lease dont sign the page for a assigned apartment until you have thouroughly inspected your apartment first. If they refuse to give you the key if you dont sign it tell them you dont want it.
