I have lived in Chapel View for three years now with my mother, and plan to move into another apartment there when I turn 18 next month. When I first moved in, there was two sides, and the college kids were kept well away from the families with children and so on, so the noise was kept to a minimum. Last year, we had neighbor move in above us with a large lab puppy, which regularly sounded like a full on thunderstorm, and this past month our neighbors on all sides are now rowdy college kids playing loud music and laughing and talking at all hours of the night. I have school, and my mother is teacher and she has school, so this sort of thing is not cool. The management remain cordial and aloof, and the staff are all college kids that cannot seem to stop gossiping and watching their trash tv during office hours--despite the fact that their desk is right next to the computer lab area where lots of people are trying to write papers and study. Maintenance stays on top of things, generally, a little too much, actually, barging in at 9:00 in the morning, usually to do mandatory things. The gardeners that do upkeep on the grounds also barge onto your patio with a leafblower (and my bedroom window is right on the patio) disturbing your sleep and terrifying any animals you might have. On the other hand, it's a nice roomy place, the rent is all-inclusive, the amenities at the clubhouse are great (two free gyms, 3 free tanning beds, 2 free computer labs and a game room as well as two large pools). The rent is a great price for also including electric/water/heating/tv/internet and if you avoid most of the staff they're not too bad. Overall I would and do recommend for a good place to stay for the price and as a first/starter apartment.
