I have lived in Foxcroft for three years and up until now, I?ve been satisfied with it, not thrilled but satisfied--the space for the money is a pretty good deal. However the management is terrible. Two months before my lease was up I tried to get a quote for what my new rate would be, over the phone I was told that my new rate would be $668 a month, I asked when I would be getting the renewal notice and they said shortly. A month later when the notice came it said $708 a month, now bear in mind this is 33 days before my lease expires and I have to give 40 days notice if I want to move out, after getting the run around from the front office I wrote the owner and explained to situation to him, in his response owner Jeff Massengill said "Our policy has also always been to give our current rate information to people who ask. That however, does not lock in that rate for an extended period of time, it is only valid for the instant that it is told. I have on occasion had a person look at an apartment in the morning and come back in the afternoon and find that during the day the rate had changed. They receive the rate of the afternoon." Now if that?s not a shady practice I don't know what is!
