I have lived at Foxcroft for three years and during that time have always found the staff to be pleasant, enthusiastic, and very competent. Whether it is the weekend emergency maintenance crew, the front office staff, or the manager, everyone has always been friendly. I recently had a number of what I considered minor maintenance requests which I relayed to the office (including a tiny, slow drip from my water heater that had been going on for a while). The same day, they had checked everything out and by the next day I had a new water heater, among other things. Prompt and professional.

I have enjoyed living at Foxcroft overall. I like (and know!) my neighbors, the area, and the proximity to stuff - I can walk to Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, and many other places. I can't recall there ever being a noise or crime problem in the place - though there is the occasional 3am car alarm. Especially in comparison to the last place I lived ("Shabby Court" in Carrboro) this place has been fantastic. Mostly a blue-collar, young professional and graduate student-type feel, not too many students, and lots of families. Another bus line would be great, but the D will get you most places, if that's your thing. Weight & work out room could use some upgrades, but the pool is nice and the laundry room is generally well kept-up.

I would recommend Foxcroft to most folks as a reasonably priced place to live (by Chapel Hill standards). It's not brand-spanking new, but its very well taken care of and the staff is always responsive and courteous.
