I lived at Franklin Woods for 1 year and did not like it one bit. The only positive aspect about the community is that it is close to shopping, UNC and on the bus route. When I first moved in there were dead bugs in the bathtub and then there were roaches almost every night. I told the office about it and they sent out the exterminator and after a few times of the coming, the bug problem ceased. The office is NOT open on the times posted on the door and the lady that works in there is always busy and running around like a chicken w/its head cut off. Another problem was the parking, they give you a parking decal when you move in, but they do not check the decals and people that want to park and catch the bus can do it very easy without getting towed, leaving minimal parking for residents. The building structures are not modern at all and the washers and dryers available for rent are from the 1980s. All in all, I would not recommend anyone pay rent to this place. It is definitely not worth it.
