I am an undergrad who lived in Glen Lennox for the school year of 2002-3. I am hoping to live there again this coming year as my experience was very good.



I liked the fact that the neighborhood was safe, quiet, and friendly. Not having a car, being within walking distance of campus and right on the busline was awesome. Maintenance problems were always fixed immediately, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was not difficult for my roommates or visitors, especially after they switched over to having permits. I had no trouble with bugs or mildew, but I have heard of other people in the complex complain of both. Rent is reasonable for the location, and the most expensive thing was gas in the wintertime, as the apartments were not very well insulated. I never used the laundry facility, but many units at least have hookups. Water is included in rent, which is nice as well.



The atmosphere of the neighborhood is great, with a wonderful diversity of families, elderly, grad students, and undergrads. Never had a problem with noise or parties, or even creepy neighbors.



My unit was a larger 3-BR, and had more space than we needed. Kitchen needed counterspace, but for the money we were paying and the prime location (less than a mile from campus and across the street from the grocery store and down the street from a mall), we felt we got a fair deal as far as rent.



Perhaps we were extremely lucky, but I would recommend this complex as long as you are able to see your unit beforehand.



Oh, and the flexible leases (9-month) were extraordinarily helpful, too.
