I've lived at Laurel Ridge since 2004 and I think it's fine. Yes, there have been some car break-ins and other small crimes that have occurred, and that sucks. But I signed a lease that says I'm responsible for my own personal safety and to look to the police for security. I don't see that there is much management can do about it anyway. It's not the residents creating the crime, it's coming in from outside. At least since I've been here, management closed the back gate and added the code to it so that only residents could get through it. Before that, all kinds of people were trespassing through the property and it was terrible. I just wish Kingswood and that other crappy community weren't so close. But otherwise, Laurel Ridge has an awesome location, great maintenance, great management and it's been just fine for me for over 4 years. It's just life that some minor larceny's are gonna happen anywhere...it's a shame...but grow up and deal with it.
