I have been here for one year, staying in one-bedroom apartment for 10 months (my leasing time is 10 months) and sharing with friend for two months (her roomate moved out of the US).
I will move to another apartment in Chapel hill. The only reason I move out is because I want to share with friend and we both want independent bothroom. There is no 2b/2b apartment in laurel Ridge. Otherwise, I really like to stay.

It is 20-25 mins to UNC by walking. It is on J and D bus line, and there is also CM bus stop nearby. The J bus is the most often and latest bus in Chapel hill. It is just 10 mins from Laurel Ridge to UNC by J bus.

It is safe enough I think. My husband is in another state. I am in the apartment for most of the time by myself. There were two things happenned in Sep.2007, someone broke in two apartment and took someting away. I heard about this by the laurel Ridge maneger. They sent email to tell all the residents to be carefull, to lock the windows and doors when sleeping and out of home. They are very honest and responsable I think. One of my friends lived in Shadowood and her apartment was almost broke in by somebody during night. She was waked up. She said no people knew about this in Shadowood except her friends, who were told by her.

The service is also very good. They answer the emergence phone massage during night in half a hour. I called twice. Once was about water and the second time was a very small thing. But they helped. I like to talk to people in the leasing office, they are all very nice.

And the one-bedroom apartment is really big, I like it very much. If my husband would be in chapel hill, we will be for sure to continue the lease.
