The apartments are noisy and cheaply made. Water leaked from the bathroom a number of times. Towel racks, toilet paper holders, and other thing popped off of walls and cabinets.
The maintenance staff is nice. The Office staff is a horror show. They are haughty,
uncaring and RUDE (Pat, the Manager, among others, you know who we're talking about here, don't you')!
We had an ice storm and were without electricity for a week. Everything around us was lit up. They did't seem to care to do anything about this. We had no heat or hot water. Food spoiled in the refrigerator (uh, what do I pay rent for, if not these basic amenities'). A few of us hardy souls stayed. We got charged rent for that period. They didn't care about anything. Their response when asked about this' "It's in you lease! Not, "I'm sorry you were inconvenienced, however, if you look at..." Nope, just "It's in you lease!" With a cold, haughty stare, yet!
I stayed there because it was convenient to work and friends. Unless you have really good reasons (and I mean REALLY good!), rent somewhere else. Anywhere else!
I'm from New York City and I've never experienced anything like this. My biggest hope is that they try to enter the New York market. That should be good for laughs!
Don't let the cookies and popcorn in the office fool you. Stay away!
