This comment is in response to the article below, which wrote that we should not blame Southrn village apartment(SVA) for power outage, but blame Duke Power.
No. You should blame the SVA for their incompetent construction. I was living in SVA during the power outage. Two days after the power outage, Southern village houses, condo, and apartments got the power back. But, right after that, only the apartments lost power AGAIN because of some inner power connection problem. While our neighbors living in the condos and houses in the villiage were enjoying having back the power, we had to suffer FIVE MORE days for them to find out what kind of inner line problem the apartment comples had and to fix it.
In conclusion, (1) We did not have power for SEVEN days, while most of other apartments got the power back in one to three days. (2) It was not because Duke power did not restore our area first, but becuase southern village apartments had inner electricity connection problem thanks to the sloppy construction.
